Ayman Hamed, MD

Dr. Hamed is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He received his medical degree from Alexandria University, Egypt. Dr. Hamed completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at St. Francis Medical Center and Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg, PA (currently known as University of Pittsburg), where he was then appointed PM&R Chief resident. He practiced medicine full time in Baton Rouge starting at Ochsner Health System specializing in treating musculoskeletal pain and spine related injuries along with nerve conductive studies. Dr. Hamed served as Head of Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Ochsner Health system from 2003-2011. He practiced at Advanced Pain Institute in the Hammond and Denham Springs areas. Dr. Hamed currently owns a private practice in the Greater Baton Rouge area since May 1, 2012. He holds extensive training and broad experience in a wide range of interventional techniques and advanced procedures and has a special interest and expertise in musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Hamed is a diplomat of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation He is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation He is a member of American Academy of Pain Medicine He is a diplomat of the American Board of Pain Medicine, Not ABMS Board but is state recognized, which may be found at https://abpm.org/.
